Bigplumbs cruising grounds - check this out!

by Ianfs » 10 Feb 2017, 22:56

I have to say that honestly I hadn't realised that this part of our gorgeous countryside existed until I spent some time recently researching things for a new boat channel. Indeed the river itself is beautiful and has so much to offer. The fairway is challenging, the river is wide and diverse and the landscape is outstanding. It is no wonder that you are such a happy chappy Dennis. :D

Yes that is indeed my local cruising grounds. The River Deben is very pretty indeed and the Woodbridge Marina and town a very nice place to stay.

Very near also we have the River Orwell, Stour and Ore as well as the Walton Back waters. A nice cruising area.

The entrance to both the Deben and Ore is interesting but if you enter on the flood tide with a good depth finder and follow the buoys you will be fine
