Nope not run out either,
On he Fletcher always had 2 X 20 Litre jerrycans and made sure topped tank at end of each trip.

With the Hunton I use the chart plotter, I reset the trip each time i fill up and never go more than 160 - 200 miles range is 260 +20%
Plus this way its not as expensive, :D

Only problem is that when you have filled 1 tank you know you have to do the same again on the other tank :o

I watched that. I was more interested in the number of really nice sports and ski boats on a lake with a 10mph speed limit. Are the rangers ignoring skiers and speeders these days or was a compromise reached that I didn't hear about? I've not been to Windermere since the ban (excluding some deliberate speeding the first year after)

un enforceable rules from what I last heard as long as they don't see a wake or blatant speeding they will politely remind you on the limits - don't blame me if you get nicked though

I have not run out of fuel.
But my good friend has run out several times. I helped tow him back on one occasion - he claimed a clogged fuel filter. But adding petrol cured the fault. :D
He bought a diesel engined boat last year and vowed never to run out of fuel again.
But in July he did it again ! By chance the engine stopped within feet of a diesel pontoon.
