is someone having a laugh?

Im due in Poole for the weekend, still waiting for a decent Airshow w/e until last night that is when the weather changed to thunder storms and 45mph gusts.

Is the BBC trying to P me off or is this just generally hate Ian and his boating year?

Iguessing its true which is why the marinas are full as no one is leving port this weekend.

I know the feeling, I was looking forward to going on a cruise from Hamble to Studland this weekend until the forecast reared its ugly head!

I'm new to the forum by the way, so hello to all!!!!

Hello JC

A very warm welcome to the forum.

I assume you keep your boat on the Hamble somewhere. It would be great if you could post a few pictures in the members boats forum, I'm sure there will be a few hello's too.

Hi, yes will do indeed. New to boating and a proud owner of a Monterey 275. Keeping her at Port Hamble. I will put some pics up later in the other section!

Haha, it depends! My mere 27ft boat can't compete with all the 30ft+ showboats out there!!!! None the less, its a nice boat, I have to admit!

Nice boat...and on the same river as us....(picture of Voodoo Doll at the top)

27 - 30 feet does seem like a really popular size ..

This weather sucks. In two days I start my two week cruise overnighting on the hook and the forecast into the foreseeable future is F5 and above. We'll be in for some bumpy nights then :(

Thanks Dave, nice boat by the way!!!! She looks lovely.

Anyway, looks like the weekend plans are now at home doing jobs around the house and nothing boat related which is rubbish thanks to our weather system.

However, the following Friday I am hoping that things change for the better, as my wife and I are planning a weeks trip to Dartmouth via Weymouth. Fingers crossed!
