So this morning I woke up to very little wind and a lot of cloud and about 17c, Solent was a little blowy.

Now at 1:20pm its bright sunshine a few clouds and a breeze but nice and warm. Wind is F3-4 becoming F5 later WSW, but I suspect it will become F2-3 later, usually does in the evening when the land cools.

However the sun is over the Yard Arm (drinks in hand) the Cricket is good, the little boat is ok now thanks to Jamie, see my post under Carburetor and it's Cowes week. Thats why the Solent weather is changeable! :D

What you moaning about. I spent the night on the hook in 40knt winds. The boat danced around anchor like a drunk on the dance floor.

Bruce your boat is somewhat bigger than mine. Open bowrider on the lovely solent chop is not nice. They are not big swells, just very steep short and frequent chop that makes for uncomfortable and wet riding :-(

It was manky at the entrance to the Hamble yesterday (sunday) ...we surfed in there about 3pm struggling to hold a steady course once in the speed limit.....challenging spin round and moor up in the wind...have to say the Admiral was brilliant stopping the bow being blown off with some nifty bow line work.

You misunderstood the irony and sarcasm in my post. Let's just say Saturday night was character forming and Sunday's return a joyride to hell. Saw lots of smaller boats taking real punishment, no other big boats were out. I fell into a number of holes that saw green water over the decks. Quite a few capsizes and 2 sinkings

Sun bed turned into anchor watch bed for the night. Here the wind blew Amanzi 90 degree to the tide and back again. Doesn't look like much in the vid but the swing is taking 40 m of 10mm chain in that arc. Anchor watch showed 35m of movement on each swing
