We bought the Garmin EchoMAP CHIRP 45dv Chart Plotter/Sounder and a transom mounted transducer for £310. We also managed to get a recycled Bluechart g2 vision micro SD card for the UK, Ireland and NW Europe on Ebay for £30 (normally around £280).. Always worth a look. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend, but this model is fine for us. We have just fitted a new outboard and have yet to establish the transducer 'sweet spot', but I'm sure it'll work well.

The Garmin Striker 4 DV is very good. Shp around though cos ebay is seldom cheaper for this sort of kit.
