by Bugbird » 11 Jan 2016, 17:30

Hi All,
Just to say looking forward to this years Rally. just paid and registered, this will be my 3rd rally ! As my Fletcher is in Brixham marina accommodation is not a problem as I will be sleeping on the boat :D
Seagull 2 only came out of the water 4 weeks ago and is in a right state ! Lots of cleaning and engine maintenance required.
Catch you all soon.

Welcome Bugbird, it will be great to see everyone at the rally old and new faces. It's been too long!

If it's any consolation my boat has been stored for 14 months so requires lots of attention too

This was my first venture into the cold to get it "ship shape" let's get the engine going!

The starter solenoid was sticking so wouldn't turn over once it did the water pump had siezed then once running it wouldn't go in to gear then after all that the thermostat was stuck closed. I don't think it liked being sold then abandoned :D

Hi Bugbird. Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like a great place to have a boat rally. We've been talking about going this year depending upon family commitments.

I have ended up with a whole gang of us coming. There is me and my wife with the Fletcher Bowrider (Don't think I will bring the 19 SC as I have not tried her yet) My Brother and his family in his little 16 foot Fletcher (That I still have to get ready) My Sister and her family and My Mother, Oh and probably our little dog as my Mum who usually has her will be with us. Not sure how we will fit them all in but we will try. I am also staying for the week

It will be on the mooring and I don't know the boat yet. Also I don't think it will be as easy to launch and recover as the 17 footer
