Travel West along the A477 from Carmarthen to Pembroke and as you pass the A4075 turn off to Pembtoke stay on the road to Pembroke dock and in around 3 miles you come to a large roundabout with an Anchor on it.
(Waterloo, Llanion roundabout) Turn right here ... (A477 Waterloo Rd) sign posted for Cleddau bridge ...
And in 300m turn right into Warrior Way ... and follow the road through what seems like an industrial estate, you will then reach the large car park and very long slipway and the attached Activity Centre.
Providing a large free car park, and free launching at just about all states of the tide.
The ramp can be slippery especially on the lower portions on a low Ebb tide.

There are no public facilities to speak of, but fuel available locally.

This river is often a good water-ski location when everywhere else is too windy, due to very steep sides to the river providing good wind protection; the river is one of the deepest in Europe - depths of 20m only a couple of metres from the bank. You can always find flat water here, but it has the disadvantage that it can be cold - and sometimes a pretty strong current.
It is also easy to head downriver under the Cleddau Bridge to the Stack Rock Fort, or further on down to Dale or Skomer.
