the eBay saga continues

by betty boop » 19 Aug 2016, 09:21

Loaded a new Ebay and boats n outboards advert as recommended, it sparked a bit of extra interest but as yet nothing concrete. One buyer but he's pulled out for 2 weeks as his dad had a heart attack hopefully coming back in a few weeks. although Im not sure a bowrlder and heart attack recovery go hand in hand.

Following forum advise this weeks eBay idiot of week award goes to the fool who emailed ' so how much money do you want for your boat?' this was met with a return email of '£12000'. Strangely he was a bit confused and only came back with a stupid comment - mad me laugh though

whilst looking I found this add - same boat/ same inventory, same dealer from new so most likely on the same consignment from Brunswick Marine when Mr Bates shipped them over. No trailer sat in salt water for 11 years but the price is I hope rather high, Im very surprised they put her up for £10k but with luck it will make mine look better

Yep that one is expensive and as a result has been for sale a long time.

I went to see Bates Wharf Eastbourne last week to get some more info on a Sealine 24 they have for sale, I was promised extra pictures of some wear and tear of the seats and glazing and a day where I can view in more detail. I am yet to receive anything !

don't worry we went to Bate in Poole to sea a trophy sports fisher and found it both manifolds off and a small tree growing out of the deck drains. When questioned they were very helpful but told us it wasn't there problem - brokerage boat, owner does care Boss says we can't clean it.

Had a good experience with Jakay marine now on Hayling Island when I bought my previous boat.
