Squeezed a quick run in.

Went out for an evening run on Monday, with a bit of a chance to blow the cobwebs out of the engine. No speed limits on this section, so enjoy a few seconds of WOT :)

Until I read the fuel flow comment your post made me want a bigger engine..... I will stick to my 115 now :) where I can get 44 Knots on the GPS. I think yours is a 225 if I remember correctly so almost double the horses for 11 knots more. Still a blast though

That fuel consumption is outrageous!! :o :?

I have two KAD 42's each of which deliver that kind of horse power but would struggle to reach that consumption combined.

Mind you I dont get those kind of speeds either. :(

Awesome vid.

44 kts from your 115, that sounds pretty good to me.
I think I max out around 40kts with 190 HP

Good thing I'm not worried about the fuel, just wish it had a bigger tank :)

Went out again last thurs to make the most of the last of the hot weather. On my own this time (very rare) but with Will in his 150 arrowsport (a short lived project of mine)

Now, Its not all about speed, but when the conditions allow it is great fun, so as I'm running lighter than usual and with the smart tabs disconnected I decided to have another slightly scary go:

67.5mph/58.6Kn

I really need to tighten up the steering... The boat gets a bit lively. But what a blast :) :)
