whats this?

Any ideas? we saw this rotting in Mercury YH yesterday, coincidently it matches exactly what we want from a new boat, may be its a bit large for us to tow long distance but a smaller version would be exactly right. This one had no markings at all just a Merc 225 outboard & a US trailer. I especially like the open running cockpit then cabin and a large deck area. Im put off sports fisher as they have enclosed wheel houses.

We wondered what it was so we can look at prices of something similar, definitely 2nd hand or possible project if in a similar state, this one would be great as a project, hull looked 100% sound missing only basic electrics & covers cushions etc. with a it of TLC and a few £ it would come up lovely. It was shame this one was full of green water& looking forgotten but given its size and being outside a workshop with 3 other 1/2 finished boats I assume its on a list to do by someone.

Looks very similar to a Shamrock 200 or clone there of. Hard to be sure, American boats are quite often very similar between different marques.

Have you looked at the Jenneau Cap Camarat's. They are a bit similar. Nearly bought one myself before my current boat.

tied the Cap Cam but decided it was a little too small at 60 HP o/b love the boats though and I think they do a bigger one. I did spot this in the brief search.

it ticks all the boxes and I'd definitely like to hear more. don't know anything about Karnic, all that comes to mind is are they cheap Eastern EU/China made. Ive heard horror stories but thats about my limit. the 2250 is still current at £35k new from a dealer in Hamble so at that price it would be an offer to see if they are desperate to sell.

Moneys in the bank but now is a stupid time to shop boats until I have a proper income but no harm in being stupid

That one on boats and outboards looks very nice. Good to be able to walk round the side to the front. I miss that on the 19 gto. Nice to have an outboard as well. I think you should make an offer of say £13,500 and see if you can nail that one

Number of versions and sizes of cap cams. The one I looked at was I think a 625 with a 150hp on the back.
Here is the new 825

We've seen this at Mercury for a few years now looking sorry for itself. Its looks like a Sea Fox 236 wa but i'm not sure on this one.

wow years? that explains the green water, what a waste. but even knackered n green its probably still too much :-)

progressing with the Karnic- nice boat a bit faded apparently but its got all new canvas and stainless outside new upholstery inside. still haven't heard a bad word said about them - just this one may be over priced a little.
