Very sharp Ian . You are making "light" of it though aren't you??

I've used both Sikaflex 291 and 3M 4200 and both work as well as each other.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the difference between sikaflex and Silacon in a tube from Toolstation? other than colour :geek:

Whilst on that subject I note from a recent project that Everbuild Lumberjack Polyurethane wood glue from tool station is seawater proof - relatively good stuff that foams into gaps and sets like expanding foam in 10 mins. As they advertise it also sticks plastics and metals Im sure there may be a use somewhere on a boat plastic or otherwise. Just thought Id pass on my new found knowledge, I won't bore you all with pictures of the staircase it helped to build

The only comparison I can think of at this time would be, it's be a bit like painting your window sills with a Dulux Internal paint instead of Weathershield!
The Internal might last for a while say 1 season, but Weathershield will go for at least 5 yrs or more!

I fitted SMART Tabs to my Maxum and it improved it tremendously ..... Maxum was a nice boat but suffered with serious bow rise on getting onto plane .... really bad, fitted Nauticus Smart Tabs and it cured it 100%.
Plus far better when running with a wind or current beam on ....... and made a big ... really bid difference in time to get on plane.
We did a forum group buy and got discount when I bought mine ... my current boat does not need them, but if it did I would have no hesitation in fitting Smart Tabs again.

Take a look at Nauticus video ......
