Bilge Pump Knackered

by Ianfs » 29 Feb 2016, 11:19

Also I tested the 750 pump in the bath (My wife was actually in it at the time) and it actually pushed water very quickly.

Bad move, she's going to want a Jacuzzi now....

I think your set up sounds just right, second pump as a back up.

Managed to get the complete new Bilge pumps system in last week. It pumps quite fast. I still have about 6 mm of water in the bilge (After I filled it up to test it) I suppose I will just have to live with this amount. Fletcher seemed to make quite a flat bilge. After I bought all the fittings for the 750GPH pump which has a 19 mm outlet seaflow seem to have changed to an uporated pump which is good but that has a 29 mm outlet, So I have had to source a 500 GPH as my spare pump on a stick. That will do however

Xylem make Rule pumps and there is one at 800gph with a 19mm fitting but they're £35

Or there is an Attwood at £27.

Rule is a 5 amp fuse and the Attwood a 2.5 amp.....odd that! :?
