Where is your cruising ground ?

by Matt13 » 21 Nov 2015, 20:59

When I do actually use my boat my cruising ground is the Solent, this video is my latest one from this summer, (lots more vids on my channel) I took this when I moved the boat to Mercury marina on the hamble for a few weeks. Only managed 1 night aboard though with the kids but it was great fun ...

Mostly South Devon - Torbay and from the Exe Down to the Dart. A few runs to Plymouth, Tamar and out to the Yealm, hoping to trail more in 2016 and ultimately aim to explore all the SW Coastline between Weymouth and Bristol... As and when I can afford the fuel and time off that is!

Yes, more than welcome to meet up, either on a Recce or on a full trip. Sounds like we need to arrange a "Thames Meet" for everyone. I will talk with xboatboyx about it although it would have to fit with his leave/weekends off.

Quite like the idea of a Thames trip but it might be tricky dragging Joka up the M3 without a trailer or tow bar and it's a long way around by sea

Will the dry stack fork lift not drop it off for you if you give them a bit of notice?

I could ask but it might be out of their area. And I'd probably have to get them started now to get there in time for next season

It is indeed, thank you. North Wales is spectacular and when the sea is good it's magnificent but when the sea is bad, it's 'orrid

A weeks cruise and 50 - 50 your cruise will be like this at some point
