winter blues

by betty boop » 30 Nov 2016, 14:08

Having started to read this months PBO mag I'm drawn even closer to selling up again. More protected areas have been announced so I assume Studland bay will be a gonna for day trips & an anchor. Inland water fees are to rise too and theres a lot of moaning given the state of the waterways they charge for. It seems, and I hope this is winter blues, that it will continue to be an uphill struggle to boat in the UK.

Like reading the Daily Mail there is a lot to be said of sticking your head in the sand and not reading boating press. is there a support group close to hand?

Nice pics but as I cant find work that would fund my boating habit addiction in the East of England 2 1/2 hours from London I have reservations of finding it in N wales. Unless of course you need a skipper for that big boat of yours?

If you cant find work in Greater Manchester and Mersey an hour away then you must be very specialised indeed. Seriously though, a much more laid back pace of life here and people often underestimate the industry between Bangor and Mersey. Shake the trees a bit and all sorts of companies you wouldn't expect fall out with the leaves.
