Do you know what the sea temperature was? Solent is 14 degrees and I have a 5mm wetsuit with fleece rash vest. Thinking of venturing in tomorrow

I record sea teml ... every wee I go out ... and plot them agaist forecast temp for date.

Last week was 16

Certainly not 5mm suit yet. I was in 3mm as were others on boat ... previous week we were still in shorties.

I will be in 3mm + rash vest this weekend.

Well you were right, the water was warm enough. However it was too rough. In most of the Solent the chop was at a level where it would have been hard to climb back in the boat and the rest was not calm enough for my ability level

Forecasting low Northerlies tomorrow .. and sunshine should be good.
So will be launching at 1000

I may take my waterski gloves though, grip becomes an issue on long runs on colder water.
