Breakdown insurance will it recover a boat & trailer?

by Cap'n Jack » 02 May 2016, 13:22

Needless to say I filled in a customer feedback form!

This is one of those dohhh stories, if only the call centre assistant had used common sense and listened properly in the first place.

BB, check the length of your trailer first before ditching them. Mine has a long draw bar, yours may not be as long from hitch to lights/skeg. You may find it is about 7m. :)

All of this is also part of the reason I keep my boat on trailer at Trafalgar Wharf. 100 from storage to slipway. Although planing to put her on a mooring in May on a drive on dock. We will see how that works out.

Nope. Moving to Kemps Quay - semi tidal.
Cheapest marina pontoon mooring II could find.

I was at Kemps for a bit but the tidal aspect became too much of a pain, plus the need for antifouling.

Quite liked the atmosphere and people at Kemps and if you can get one of the outer berths you can get in and out most tide states. Be interesting to see how the slide on/off system works out.

Give us a wave when you move in, we're just over the river at Saxon, along with IanH and Matt.
